The DINA Project

Canada’s national biological collections were scattered across outdated systems—some dating back to the ’90s, others held together by spreadsheets. The DINA Project set out to unify them under a single, open-source platform. Our team was brought in to lead the user experience design, working directly with collection managers, touring facilities, and untangling years of overlapping processes and inconsistent data models.

The result was a simplified, scalable system built around one core entity: the Material Sample. By flattening the data structure and designing flexible, role-specific workflows, we made it possible to manage millions of records in a single, consistent interface. The project not only brought clarity to a highly complex ecosystem—it laid the groundwork for a national platform that will serve researchers and institutions for years to come.

Rook & Knight Law

When two Ontario law firms consolidated under a single new identity, they needed more than a merger announcement. They needed a brand that could carry four practice areas under one strategic story, support a model built on long-term client relationships, and stand apart in a category that mostly looks the same. We led the rebrand end-to-end: naming, strategy, identity, system, and launch-ready collateral.

The result is a chess-inspired brand built on a strategic position the legal category doesn’t currently occupy. We created a modular logo system, a complete visual identity, and a documented set of standards and workflows give the firm the tools to scale across practice areas and operate the brand without designer dependence, positioning Rook & Knight as a long-term strategic partner across real estate, lending, business, and multifamily law.

Senserva

We led the development of a complete brand foundation, spanning naming, positioning, and visual identity, to clearly articulate a complex serverless technology in market-ready terms. We replaced an unclear working name with a scalable, defensible brand, translated technical differentiation into a clear and credible visual system, and delivered a full set of brand tools to support sales, marketing, and investor communications.

The result was a cohesive identity that reduced internal friction, accelerated go-to-market readiness, and positioned the company for long-term growth from day one.
